When you write to us
The site has no form. The “Contact us” button opens your e-mail client, and we receive what you choose to put in it: your e-mail address, your display name, your message and its attachments.
When you browse the site
We measure the site’s audience with Umami, a tool that sets no cookie and keeps no identifier. What it counts: pages viewed, referring page, browser, operating system, device type and country. Nothing in it can recognise you from one visit to the next or track you from one site to another. That is why you see no consent banner.
What the server records
Like any site, ours keeps server logs – IP address, page requested, timestamp – in order to run, protect itself and limit abuse. The hosting provider keeps them for a short time, and they serve no other purpose.
Who processes this data
AlphaTech Energies, an SAS (a French simplified joint-stock company) with a share capital of €367,500, whose registered office is at 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris. The data we receive is neither sold, rented nor passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
Why
To answer your message and qualify your project; to measure the site’s audience in order to improve it; to keep it running and secure. Nothing else: no newsletter, no profiling, no automated decision-making.
On what legal basis
Our legitimate interest, in all three cases. You initiated the contact and you expect a reply; audience measurement runs without cookies or identifiers, within the framework that the CNIL, the French data protection authority, allows without consent; keeping the site secure is an obligation. So there is no box to tick, no banner, and no newsletter to sign up to.
Who has access
The people at AlphaTech Energies in charge of commercial enquiries, and the processors who handle this data on our behalf: the site’s hosting provider, Railway, and our e-mail service. Audience measurement runs on our own installation, hosted at Railway: no measurement provider receives your data. Access to our tools uses individual named accounts, protected by two-factor authentication.
Where it is hosted
The data is stored in the European Union, in Amsterdam. The hosting provider, Railway Corporation, is a company incorporated in the United States: the storage is European, the operator is not. This transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in which Railway participates, and by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
For how long
Your e-mails are kept for as long as it takes to handle your request and any exchange that follows, and for no more than three years after our last exchange; they are then deleted. Audience measurement keeps no data about you. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short time.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data, and the right, under French law, to set instructions for your data after your death. Write to contact@alphatech-energies.fr: your request is handled within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, cnil.fr/fr/plaintes.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest at the hosting provider. No cookies, no storage in your browser.
